Approved Modalities
  • Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the use of natural plant extracts to promote emotional and physical well-being. It is generally used to aid with sleep, anxiety, digestion, immune health, and pain relief. After conducting a detailed intake, Aromatherapists will come up with a treatment plan and create specific blends to address a client’s unique constitution and presenting symptoms. Aromatherapy is applied topically or through inhalation via diffusers, spritzers, bathing salts, body oils, compresses and masks. When applied topically, essential oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as jojoba, sweet almond or olive oil.
  • Death Doula
A death doula, also known as an end-of-life doula or death midwife, is an “informed companion” who empowers and supports individuals and families to navigate the end-of-life process. They fulfil a gap in the care team, acting as advocates who provide emotional and practical support. Death doulas have the capacity for deep listening, opening up conversations about death and prompting the client to reflect on their life. This can include writing letters, creating legacy projects, preparing for death and reflecting on their life. They can also aid with funeral planning, client education and referral services such as coordinating with palliative care, hospice and social workers. Death doulas have no medical background or training and do not perform clinical or medical tasks. Doulas can work with clients daily or weekly, and the relationship might span several years. Depending on their scope of practice and experience, additional services might include things like energy healing, massage, meal preparation and assisting with legal paperwork.
  • Heal Your Life
Heal Your Life, created by Lousie L. Hay, is designed to support the client in making life changes. In taking a holistic approach, a Heal Your Life practitioner can guide the client to overcome self-limiting beliefs, and develop their emotional, mental and spiritual capacity. Through this process, the practitioner may be able to assist the client to achieve their goals faster, find greater balance across life domains, teach techniques which may clear past and/or current challenges, develop intuitive and spiritual depth, as well as support them to reach their full potential.
  • Kinesiology
Kinesiology is the study of movement, derived from Chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology. It utilizes muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body—physical, emotional, biochemical, or spiritual. By bypassing mental stories and beliefs, kinesiologists determine methods to restore balance. They employ techniques like subconscious realigning, acupressure, nutrition, coaching, and emotional clearing to address root causes of imbalances. Kinesiology is a holistic approach, offering solutions for disorders such as stress, muscular and nervous disorders, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, learning difficulties, behavioral issues, and emotional challenges. It aims to transform clients' well-being by addressing the underlying causes and promoting balance in multiple aspects of life.
  • Life Coaching
Life coaching is a collaborative and goal-oriented process that helps individuals, businesses, and teams to bridge the gap between their current circumstances and success. They provide guidance, support, and motivation to clients by facilitating self-reflection, exploring values, and setting action plans. Through active listening, questioning, and feedback, life coaches help clients gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies to reach their desired outcomes. Life coaching covers various areas of life, such as career, relationships, personal growth, and health. It aims to empower individuals, foster self-awareness, and assist in making positive changes to create a more fulfilling and balanced life.
  • Meditation
Meditation is an umbrella term for a number of practices that train the meditator to be present to their thoughts with awareness and without judgement. Counter to the conditioning of the mind/body system, positive effects of meditation can be heightened relaxation, the building of etheric energy and deeper awareness. Through either sustained focus, mindfulness, or the cultivation of compassion, meditation can clear the mind and ease many health concerns, such as high blood pressure, depression and anxiety.
  • Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is any type of massage therapy performed on a woman pre or postpartum that accommodates changes in her body. There are several things a therapist will do to compensate including: using a pregnancy massage table or bolsters to position a woman on her side; using light, slow strokes on the legs to prevent any potential blood clots from dislodging; and either using light pressure on the belly or avoiding the area altogether. Furthermore, pregnancy massage is often ill-advised during the first trimester of pregnancy to mitigate the risk of miscarriage. Clients generally receive clearance from their medical professional prior to commencing pregnancy massage. If practitioners notice or suspect any symptoms that may be contraindicative, they should refer their client to a medical professional immediately.
  • Reiki II
Reiki is a hands-on energy healing method developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. What sets it apart is the attunements passed from Teacher/Master to student, opening up their energy fields. Reiki involves transferring universal life force energy from practitioner to client, with hands placed on or above specific body locations. Symbols are used with different intentions, visualized or drawn. Reiki can be done in person or through distant healing, lasting 60-90 minutes. It aids in pain relief, healing, relaxation, and balancing chakras and aura energy. Clients remain clothed on a massage table during sessions.
  • Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is a gentle and soothing form of massage therapy aimed at promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and improving overall well-being. It involves the application of various massage techniques, such as long, gliding strokes, kneading, and circular motions, using a lighter pressure. The primary focus of relaxation massage is to calm the nervous system, relieve muscle tension, and create a sense of deep relaxation. This type of massage is typically performed in a serene and tranquil environment, with the client undressed and covered with a sheet or towel.
  • Whole Body Massage
Whole body massage, also known as full-body massage, is a comprehensive massage technique that addresses the entire body. It involves the manipulation of soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, from head to toe. The therapist uses various massage strokes, such as kneading, rubbing, and stretching, to provide therapeutic benefits to the entire body. Whole body massage aims to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being. It can be customized to meet individual needs and preferences, with different pressure levels and techniques used based on client preferences and areas of focus.
