Harmony Slater is a somatic-energetic coach, Ashtanga yoga teacher, and breathwork facilitator with over 25 years of experience.
She began practicing yoga and meditation back in 1996, while recovering from perfectionism, anxiety, and an eating disorder. What the past three decades have taught her is the value of slowing down to presence the sensation in the body and feel the emotion, rather than starve it or exercise it away. That is the foundation of how she works with clients now.
She holds a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Calgary. In 2002 she travelled to China to study Buddhist meditation, then spent years living between India and Thailand practicing Vipassana, pranayama, Ayurveda, and Ashtanga yoga. She became a Reiki practitioner during those early years. In 2015 she received Certification from R. Sharath Jois in Mysore, India, one of fewer than twenty women in the world to hold it. She has co-founded two yoga schools in Canada and taught in over 30 countries.
Her current practice combines Spinal Energetics (Level 2 certified) Elemental Embodiment with breathwork and somatic coaching to explore the unconscious emotion the body is holding. Sessions are unhurried. She works with what is present rather than pushing toward a fixed outcome, and most clients arrive with a physical symptom and end up addressing the pattern underneath it.
Harmony is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the ICF and a National Board Certified Health Coach (NBC-HWC). She hosts the Finding Harmony Podcast, mentors other healers in their businesses, and teaches retreats and workshops internationally through the year.
Her focus is helping conscious leaders come home to themselves after years of overgiving and the mental and physical toll that takes. Common outcomes are clearer boundaries, steadier energy, and a more reliable read on their own stress signals before those signals become symptoms.

- Spinal EnergeticsSpinal Energetics is a bodywork modality where the practitioner accesses the client's inimitable energetic field - matter to body, body to mind, mind to soul and soul to spirit - ultimately aiming to reach a higher level of consciousness. It has been inspired by various energetic medicine modalities, such as Network Spinal Analysis, Alpha Alignment, Reiki, Spinal Flow, Chakra Healing and incorporates philosophies inspired by Eastern thought; such as, Buddhism, Hinduism, Vedic, Yogic and Meditative Traditions. It is a holistic process that focuses on aligning one’s physicality, mentality, and spirituality, thus expanding their human experience. Through light yet powerful touch and energy transmission that interact with the nervous system and energetic field, a Spinal Energetic practitioner can help release tension and resistance that has formed in the client's body. Tangible ancient serpent like flows, movements and sounds are then induced by the individual’s innate primal knowledge and life-force energy.
- Reiki IIReiki is a hands-on energy healing method developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. What sets it apart is the attunements passed from Teacher/Master to student, opening up their energy fields. Reiki involves transferring universal life force energy from practitioner to client, with hands placed on or above specific body locations. Symbols are used with different intentions, visualized or drawn. Reiki can be done in person or through distant healing, lasting 60-90 minutes. It aids in pain relief, healing, relaxation, and balancing chakras and aura energy. Clients remain clothed on a massage table during sessions.Training provided by Donna E. Andrews
