
John Ledgar is an experienced educator, author, speaker and counsellor whose work centres on supporting people to develop greater connection, self-awareness and confidence in themselves and their relationships.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, particularly in early childhood education, John’s Conscious Parenting work draws on extensive experience supporting children, parents and families. He is the author of Conscious Parenting: Insights and Wisdom from a Veteran Kindergarten Teacher and is a trained Tuning in to Kids® facilitator, supporting emotionally responsive approaches to parenting and relationships.
John is also an experienced public speaker and facilitator, with many years of involvement in Toastmasters and experience presenting workshops, educational programs and community sessions. His speaking and facilitation work reflects his passion for sharing practical ideas that encourage reflection, growth and meaningful change.
In addition to his Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood & Primary) John also holds a Diploma of Holistic Counselling and a Graduate Certificate in Career Education and Development. His career development training enables him to support people in exploring not only employment and career decisions, but also their values, strengths, interests, identity and sense of purpose.
Across his work, John takes a holistic, person-centred approach that recognises the interconnected nature of our relationships, experiences, wellbeing, personal development and career journeys.
