About

You're not broken. You're out of balance.

I help women who know there's more to their anxiety and overwhelm than what they've been told. You want to understand what's really going on, not just manage the symptoms. Functional testing helps us find out, so your body can finally do what it already knows how to do: heal.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
You wake up at 3am with your mind racing. You snap at the people you love over things that shouldn't matter. You're wired but exhausted, and you can't concentrate the way you used to. Maybe you're crying more easily and dreading the day before it's already started, or maybe you've gone numb. Whatever it looks like for you, it's real, and there's a reason behind it.

About Karoline

Karoline's path into practice started with her daughter's skin. Before her third birthday, her daughter developed toddler acne that no cream, steroid, or prescription touched. A change in diet cleared it, only for it to return at puberty, age 10.

As a Nutrition Coach and former beauty therapist, Karoline suspected her daughter's skin was telling a deeper story. Functional lab testing confirmed it: gut permeability, food sensitivities, and hormones out of balance. Working with an FDN practitioner to address what the testing showed changed things for her daughter that creams alone never could. That experience confirmed what Karoline already knew and set the direction her work has taken since.

Combining her qualifications in mental health and counselling with her certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition practitioner, Karoline understands anxiety, fatigue, and overwhelm are rarely the whole story. What's happening in the body, hormones, gut health, stress response, toxin exposure, nutrient levels, often plays a far bigger role than most of us are told.

Karoline believes your body already knows how to heal. Her work is helping you find out what's been standing in its way.

Approved Modalities
  • Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN)
Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) is a system of health coaching that uses functional lab testing to identify and address the root causes of chronic health conditions. Developed by Reed Davis in 2008, it incorporates principles from functional medicine, nutrition, and holistic health to create a personalized health program for each client. The FDN practitioner uses lab testing to assess the client's hormone levels, immune function, digestive health, and other biomarkers. Based on the results, they develop a customized plan that includes dietary and lifestyle changes, nutritional supplementation, and other natural therapies. The goal is to support the body's natural healing processes and restore optimal health and vitality.
  • Nutritional Consultant
Nutritional Consultants provide generalised nutrition education and information in group settings and one-on-one. This can include information about topics such as gut health, how to read a food label, understanding nutrients and superfoods, detoxification and cleansing, hormone health, lifestyle factors such as sleep and stress, gene expression and nutritional deficiencies. Nutritional Consultants might also provide nutritional coaching in a wellness centre, gym or health food store, promote good health and nutrition on social media, or start a website featuring healthy recipes and blog articles. Nutritional Consultants are not qualified to give specific one-on-one individualised nutritional recommendations or dietary prescriptions, provide medical advice, diagnose, treat, cure or heal any disease/condition, recommend or tell a client to take specific supplements or to follow a particular diet (i.e. vegan, Paleo, etc…), run tests or interpret results or make health claims without a scientific basis.
  • Mental Health
Mental Health professionals focus on rehabilitation and support for people and families affected by mental health-related issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, mental illness and psychiatric disability and/or social issues such as poverty, unemployment or homelessness. They can work in health care facilities or for a community service provider performing tasks such as executing community-based activities, providing referral services, engaging in advocacy work, facilitating recovery and implementing trauma-informed practices.
