With a strong foundation in holistic health and wellbeing, my work is guided by the principles of Ayurveda and a passion for supporting individuals in achieving greater balance, vitality, and quality of life.
I have completed my studies as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant with Lakshmi Ayurveda, Fremantle WA, where I developed a deeper understanding of Ayurvedic principles, including individual constitution, lifestyle practices, nutrition, daily routines, and personalised wellbeing support. This knowledge has enhanced my ability to provide a holistic approach that recognises the unique needs of each individual.
In 2025, I completed certifications in Abhyanga Massage and Pinda Sveda, developing practical skills in traditional Ayurvedic therapies that support relaxation, circulation, nervous system balance, and overall wellbeing. I enjoy integrating these Ayurvedic practices with compassionate care, creating a nurturing and supportive experience tailored to each person.
Alongside my Ayurvedic training, I bring over two decades of experience teaching yoga, with a personal practice dating back to 1990. I am a qualified Hatha Yoga Teacher with Friends in Yoga (FinY) (2000) and hold Level I Beginner and Level II Intermediate certifications in the Iyengar Yoga tradition (2005 and 2007). My teaching is supported by formal study in Anatomy and Physiology (2000), allowing me to provide safe, adaptable practices that respect individual abilities and needs.
As a Yoga Carer, I offer a calm, compassionate, and holistic approach that combines Ayurvedic wisdom with the benefits of yoga, mindful movement, and therapeutic awareness. I value creating a safe and inclusive environment where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered.
My aim is to support wellbeing on all levels — physical, emotional, and energetic — through personalised care, gentle guidance, and a genuine commitment to helping others experience greater balance and harmony in their lives.
- Ayurvedic MassageAyurvedic Massage, also known as Abhyanga, is a whole-body warm oil massage aimed at balancing the doshas - vata, pitta, and kapha. Practitioners may examine the pulse to determine the person's health state. Specific oils, infused with herbs if needed, are used based on the dosha imbalance. Ayurvedic Massage improves circulation, promotes relaxation, aids digestion, and enhances sleep. It focuses on harmonizing the body and mind to achieve overall well-being.
- YogaA physical, mental and spiritual practice, Yoga is a Vedic tradition of India and the Himalayas dating more than 2,500 years. Classes are generally 1 - 1 ½ hrs in duration and incorporate physical postures and movement (asanas), breath exercises (pranayama), relaxation and concentration, philosophy, and meditation. Yoga benefits the physical and mental body by enhancing flexibility, improving muscle strength and tone, increasing body awareness, and promoting relaxation and calm.
