Approved Modalities
  • Colon Hydrotherapy / Irrigation
Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as Colonics or Colonic Irrigation, involves introducing filtered water into the rectum to aid the body in evacuating fecal matter, toxins, parasites, and microbes. There are two systems: open and closed. In an open system, clients lie on a recliner-like table, while in a closed system, they lie on a massage table. Both systems use water to cleanse the colon, with the open system allowing the client to release waste themselves, and the closed system involving manual draining by the therapist. Colon Hydrotherapy can address various health concerns like digestive issues, arthritis, allergies, and skin conditions. Clients must complete a medical intake form, and those with pre-existing medical conditions should consult their healthcare provider before the procedure. Proper training, CPR certification, and adherence to health and sterilization protocols are essential for practitioners.
  • Ayurveda
Ayurveda, originating in India, is an ancient system that views disease as an imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness. It defines the body's constitution based on the three doshas (pitta, vata, and kapha) derived from the five elements. Ayurvedic practitioners conduct detailed intakes, including physical examinations and personal histories, to diagnose and create individualized treatment plans. These may involve herbal remedies, panchakarma detoxification, ayurvedic diets, massages, and Shirodhara (oil dripping on the forehead). Ayurveda is considered a form of medical care in India, akin to allopathic, Chinese, and naturopathic medicine, offering a holistic approach to achieving optimal health and balance in the body and mind.
  • Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a 3,000-year-old Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy, aims to restore balance to the mind, body, and spirit by addressing the root cause of disease. Tiny steel needles inserted into specific acupoints stimulate the body's central nervous system, releasing chemicals into muscles, the spinal cord, and brain, promoting Qi flow, clearing energetic blockages, and inducing self-healing. Moxibustion, herbs, or dietary supplements may complement treatment. Acupuncture benefits various conditions like arthritis, headaches, sleep disorders, blood pressure, sports injuries, infertility, digestive issues, anxiety, menopause, and pain. Regulation of Acupuncturists varies by region, and practitioners must hold appropriate qualifications and licensure.
