Jeremy Walker
About

I am a certified hypnotherapist, specialising in working with adults to heal addictions and anxiety.

I use Hypnotherapy, The Demartini Method, Psychosomatic Therapy, NLP and my WARP (Walker Addiction Removal Process) to help make lasting changes. I am happy to help you with quitting smoking, weight loss and alcohol treatment. I have a great interest in helping people gain relief from anxious patterns, OCD, insomnia and disruptive thoughts. When your mind and body work together as one, there is relief and progress. This might be that for the first time in years, the mind is clear and nervous system becomes settled. The hypnosis aims to provide relaxation for the nervous system and helpful thoughts to the subconscious mind. My style is non-judgemental, practical and results focused. Having worked through my own compulsions and anxieties, I understand many of the challenges my clients face. Whatever you want to work on is viewed as an opportunity for growth.

Approved Modalities
  • Demartini Method
The Demartini Method® is a personal transformation methodology developed by Dr John Demartini. It employs brain exercises to enhance executive function, transitioning from survival to thriving mode. Through a systematic series of mental questions, it transforms polarized emotions into feelings of presence, certainty, and gratitude, enabling individuals to become more objective and positively shift their perspectives about life circumstances. The method can be taught in one-on-one sessions or group workshops.
  • Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that utilizes hypnosis to access and influence the subconscious mind. It involves inducing a relaxed state, known as a trance, where the individual is open to positive suggestions and guided imagery. This altered state of consciousness allows the hypnotherapist to work with the client's deeper levels of awareness to address and transform limiting beliefs, behaviours, and emotional patterns. It is a collaborative process that aims to harness the power of the mind for personal growth and healing. For our purposes, it is important to differentiate Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy from Clinical Hypnotherapy. Clinical Hypnotherapists undergo extensive training and are skilled in Counselling/Psychotherapy, making them adept at handling more complex cases such as trauma/PTSD, fears and phobias, sexual dysfunction, and so on.
  • Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
Co-founded by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970’s, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) enables us to understand how our brain processes the words we use and how that can effect our programming and behaviour. Engaging various tools and techniques, practitioners support clients with re-programming their neurology, language and actions. Rather than allowing thoughts to be passive, NLP techniques help to look at thoughts, feelings and emotions as things that may be controlled. Techniques can include things such as Imagery Training, NLP Swish, Modelling, Mirroring, and Incantations.
  • Psychosomatic Therapy
Psychosomatic Therapy is a tactile massage and movement therapy that focuses on how genetics, environment and a person’s emotional state can manifest as physical and emotional symptoms in the body. During a session, practitioners will systematically evaluate a person’s biomechanical function, quality of muscular tissue, muscle-to-fat ratio, weight distribution, structural symmetry and facial features using techniques like face reading, hand reading and body-mind analysis. Once imbalances are identified the therapist will use a variety of techniques to release repetitive patterns including emotional-release bodywork, counselling, postural alignment and breathing techniques. They will also provide the client with a detailed assessment and practical exercises so they can understand and participate in their own healing process. Psychosomatic Therapy is a collaborative therapy between the practitioner and client and can assist with correcting posture, improving body condition, physical shape and desired psychological attitudes.
  • Quit Smoking for Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a process of guiding someone into a deep state of relaxation where they experience heightened focus and reduced conscious mind control. During this trance-like state, clients become more open to suggestions and can reveal and transform subconscious patterns. Quit Smoking Hypnotherapy focuses on helping people quit smoking through guided imagery and behaviour change suggestions. Post-session, clients may learn self-hypnosis techniques to reinforce positive changes. It's essential to differentiate Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy from Clinical Hypnotherapy, where practitioners have extensive training in counselling/psychotherapy and handle more complex cases such as trauma, phobias, and sexual dysfunction. Clinical Hypnotherapists are skilled in addressing deeper emotional issues.
