The health and wellness industry loves to pretend we all operate the same way. But we don't and I'm done pretending we do. If you are too, say hello to health support for perfectly imperfect humans.
👋 I'm Tash.
Neurodivergent, menopausal, still figuring it out, deeply unimpressed with an industry that keeps selling the same solutions to people they keep failing. I spent years in corporate, watching systems, spotting patterns and finding workarounds for processes that didn't work. Turns out a lifetime of masking and adjusting gives you a sharp radar for where the gaps are and why things fail. I've used that same radar navigating medical systems, fighting for educational support for my daughter during her schooling and eventually turning it on the wellness industry itself.
Because I realised the years I spent surrounding myself with messaging about what health was supposed to look like and what I should do to get there, kept me stuck [not motivated like I thought it would]. My brain and my nervous system both knew I couldn't do it that way. The "lack of motivation," the "inconsistency", it wasn't failure it was my body rejecting approaches it knew would never fit.
I became a nutrition & health coach because I wanted to be the person I needed. Someone who sees that the struggle isn't a character flaw, who's more interested in what works for your life than what's supposed to work and who won't just hand you a generic program and wish you luck. And to be clear about how it works, I don't hand you a plan or design your life for you. You make every decision. I bring the structure, the questions and the pattern-spotting.
If you want before & afters and an 8-week program that promises to change your life, I'm probably not your person. If you've tried everything and you're exhausted by your own "lack of willpower", I'd love to help you find what actually works. Because it's there, it's just not where you've been told to look.
- Health and Nutrition CoachingA Health and Nutrition Coach provides mentorship and accountability one-on-one or in a group setting, helping their clients to implement diet and lifestyle changes to reach health and wellness goals. Rather than just focusing on eating habits and food choices, a Health and Nutrition Coach will also look at things that impact the client’s physical, social, and emotional needs and barriers to achieving their goals. Depending on their scope of practice, they may provide advice on things like sleep, weight management, stress management, disease prevention, nutrition and health education, and meal and menu planning. Health and Nutrition Coaches work with people from the general population and are not qualified to treat specific medical conditions, prescribe specific meal plans or provide medical diagnoses.
- Health CoachingHealth Coaches promote a healthy lifestyle by focusing on habit change. They use motivational strategies, behavior change theories, and health education to help clients achieve physical fitness and health goals. Health Coaches address various aspects, including weight loss, energy optimization, self-care prioritization, sleep management, self-esteem, immunity, and gut health. They can work individually or in group settings in places like gyms, wellness centers, doctor's offices, natural food stores, and digital wellness platforms. It's important to note that Health Coaches are not therapists or qualified nutritionists, and they cannot diagnose or prescribe. Anything beyond their scope of practice should be referred to a qualified healthcare professional.
